About Kitmul
The story behind the privacy-first tool suite that runs entirely in your browser.
“The best business is one where your economic incentive is perfectly aligned with the user's well-being. At Kitmul, that's not marketing — it's technical architecture.
Our Mission
We built Kitmul because we were tired of the same frustrating experience: slow, ad-heavy tool websites that force you to upload private files to unknown servers, create accounts you don't need, and pay for basic functionality. Kitmul exists to prove that powerful utility tools can be fast, free, and process your data entirely on your device.
Who Built This
Kitmul is created by Aral Roca, an independent software engineer and open-source contributor passionate about web performance and user privacy. What started as a personal collection of developer utilities has grown into a platform with 487 tools across 23 categories, serving users worldwide in 4 languages.
How It Works
Every tool on Kitmul runs entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. When you convert a file, run a calculation, or process a PDF, the work happens on your device — not on a remote server. This means your data never leaves your computer, and most tools even work offline once the page is loaded.
Our Commitment to Privacy
Your tool data (files, calculations, text) is never sent to our servers. Everything is processed locally in your browser. We use Google Analytics for anonymous site metrics to help us improve the platform — but it has no access to the data you process in our tools. We believe privacy and free access are not mutually exclusive.
By the Numbers
487 tools across 23 specialized categories. 4 languages supported (English, Spanish, French, German). Zero accounts required. Zero file uploads to servers. Available offline as a Progressive Web App. Every tool is completely free with no usage limits.
Community Driven
Kitmul grows based on what users actually need. You can suggest new tools directly from the homepage, and we prioritize building what the community asks for. Our newsletter keeps you updated on new tool releases and productivity tips. Every piece of feedback helps shape what we build next.
Our Values
We welcome all tool suggestions, but not every idea makes it into Kitmul. We are committed to building tools that are legal, ethical, and genuinely useful. We do not accept proposals for tools that promote pseudoscience, make misleading health or medical claims, or encourage any form of discrimination. For example, a tool that claims to predict physical traits based on unscientific methods has no place here. Kitmul is a platform built on trust and responsibility — every tool we publish must respect the dignity of its users and provide real, honest value.
